The mountain village is divided into 6 neighbourhoods:

The Grande Rue neighbourhood is the most central, but also the most extensive. There are many bars, shops and après-ski parties inside the resort, making it a noisy but lively and cosmopolitan place – ideal for a vacation with friends.
The Soleil neighbourhood follows the resort's snow front. This is the ideal spot for a family vacation in Val Thorens with an introduction to skiing!

Getting to Val Thorens

As the resort is semi-pedestrian, car parks and shuttles have been set up to serve each neighbourhood and bring holidaymakers to the various meeting points in the ski area. It is also possible to rent a box or private parking, or even book the services of a valet to make the most of your stay.

Shuttles also run between the Moûtiers - Salins - Brides-les-Bains station and the residences of Val Thorens.

Limiting vehicle access has considerably reduced traffic jams below the chalets and buildings and within the resort. Without vehicles, the streets are safer for skiers and cyclists. Children can play, run and toboggan freely all around your vacation home. Breathe in the pure air of our alpine peaks!
