The mountain village is divided into 6 neighbourhoods:

• The Grande Rue neighbourhood is the most central, but also the most extensive. There are many bars, shops and après-ski parties inside the resort, making it a noisy but lively and cosmopolitan place – ideal for a vacation with friends.
• The Soleil neighbourhood follows the resort's snow front. This is the ideal spot for a family vacation in Val Thorens with an introduction to skiing! 
• The Slalom neighbourhood is renowned for its calm on the edge of the slopes. The light at the top of the resort is exceptional and the rental chalets all have a breath-taking panorama over the valley.
