La Tania, Courchevel’s family-friendly resort
A pioneer amongst high-altitude ski resorts in France, Courchevel has forged a reputation for itself as a chic, international resort. Part of Les 3 Vallées, the world’s leading ski area, it boasts 600 km of snowsports terrain, connecting the Courchevel, Méribel and Val Thorens valleys. Created in the early 1980’s, La Tania nestles on a plateau amidst a spruce forest at an altitude of 1,400 metres. Linked to Les 3 Vallées by gondola lift, the village is home to many beautiful runs through the pine trees. La Tania also features a large Nordic ski area in the heart of the forest where visitors of all ages can enjoy cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and dog sledding.
In summer, you can soak up the village’s natural surroundings, and enjoy a whole host of mountain leisure activities (hiking, mountain biking, swimming in Le Praz lake…). Courchevel valley’s many different leisure facilities, walking and cycling routes will delight the whole family.
