Located at an altitude of 1,250 metres in the Tarentaise valley, it is one of the satellite villages of La Plagne. Champagny en Vanoise is situated on a south-facing slope and divided into two distinct sectors. Champagny le Haut has been a designated natural site since 1992, and Champagny le Bas is made up of several traditional hamlets.
